Advanced Scuba Certification Camp

Scuba camps at Jack’s Diving Locker in Kona, Hawaii are all about summer fun!  Teens with the Junior Open Water Diver certification can take the next step in scuba training in the Advanced Scuba Camp at Jack’s Diving Locker.  PADI professional scuba instructors will introduce campers to the PADI Adventures in Diving program with the following dives: Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigation, Deep, Boat and Night. Campers will also participate in a skill review in the pool.  Upon successful completion of this course, students receive the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water certification (ages 12-14) or Advanced Open Water certification (ages 15-18).

PREREQUISITES:
– Ages 12-18
– Jr. Open Water or Open Water certification

Camper numbers: 3 camper minimum

WE PROVIDE:
– Instruction, BCD, Regulator, Wetsuit, Tanks and Weights

STUDENTS PROVIDE:
– Logbook
– Mask, Snorkel, Fins (rental gear available)
– Swimsuit, Towel, Sunscreen, Dry Clothes
– Lunch, Snacks, Water bottle (lunch provided on boat dive day)

MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE: Please review the continuing education medical questions in your camp registration forms.  If your child has a YES answer on the medical statement, a doctor‘s approval is required.  Inquire about the medical form to take to be signed by your Dr and returned to Jack's Diving Locker.

NEW CAMPER ORIENTATION: Parents, please schedule an on-site orientation with Camp Director prior to camp start date. For travelers who can’t make these arrangements, a phone appointment will be set up.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any cancellations during the final 7 days prior to the camp will result in full charge for the camp.

PREPARATION:
– Start the PADI eLearning program by clicking on the banner below or on PADI.com.
– Complete eLearning prior to camp start date.

DAY 1 (9 am – 3pm)

– At Shop: Check-in and camp orientation with parents (20 min.)
– Classroom: Review, Naturalist, Navigation
– Pool: Skill Circuit

DAY 2 (9 am – 3 pm)
– Classroom: Dive Briefing
– Shore: Naturalist Dive and Navigation Dive
– Classroom: Log Dives

DAY 3 (8 am – 3:30 pm) Boat Day!
– Classroom: Dive Briefing
– Boat Trip: Deep Dive and Boat Dive
– Classroom: Log Dives

DAY 4 (5 pm – 9 pm)
– Classroom: Dive Briefing
– Shore: Night Dive
– Classroom: Log Dive
– Certificates issued upon completion

All courses include instruction by PADI certified Instructors and Divemasters. All camps follow PADI course outlines. PADI is the Professional Association of Diving Instructors — the world’s largest scuba certification agency.
